On 16 and 17 September 2026, Huế will host a two-day joint event under the title Environmental Resilience of Cities and Regions – From Local Action to Regional Cooperation. The event brings together two BMFTR-funded projects — FloodAdaptVN and PolyUrbanWater — for a combined SURE Cross-Project Exchange and Regional Networking Forum.
The first day combines the SURE Cross-Project Exchange and FloodAdaptVN’s Regional Networking Forum II — From Local Action to Regional Resilience — in a joint workshop bringing together practitioners, authorities, and researchers from Central Vietnam and neighbouring provinces to share experiences and explore opportunities for regional cooperation in flood risk management and climate adaptation. The second day features field excursions and site visits, offering participants a direct look at local adaptation challenges and solutions on the ground in Huế.
