On May 30, 2024, a technical workshop on the deployment of the Flood Risk Adaptation Measures & Evaluation (FRAME) GeoNode was held at Hue University. The event brought together participants from local disaster prevention and GIS departments to discuss and test the GeoNode platform used in the FloodAdapt project. The workshop focused on the technical aspects of GeoNode, its application in managing flood data, and explored additional use cases, such as integrating safe parking areas in flood management.
Participants showed interest in integrating FRAME layers into existing systems to enhance data accessibility for local authorities. The successful deployment of a beta FRAME GeoNode at Hue University was highlighted. Attendees also gained hands-on experience with Docker technology for managing local deployments of GeoNode.
The workshop emphasized GeoNode’s potential to support flood adaptation efforts, facilitating knowledge exchange and collaboration among local experts. Future steps include further integration and application of the discussed technologies.
